Crescenzo Mazza
Crescenzo Mazza was born in Naples in June 1969. He started to develop his interest and passion in photography, In 1989, after his high school diploma, he moved to Florence to attend a course of fashion photography, but the real vocational training began when he started working as freelance assistant for several professional photographers in New York, then in Naples, Milan and in Paris. A continuous wandering which allowed him to meet and work for photographers with different styles and personalities, such as: Bronstein & Bronstein, William Heuberger, Bill Kelly, Larry Silver, Carolin Jones, Ugo Pons Salabelle, Industria Superstudio, Exit, Joe Oppedisano, Steeve Murez, Lora Karen, Christian Zacariasen.
Thanks to his work experience, he develops a personal creative form, a synthesis between fashion style and advertising skills. All the cultural influences of the cities he had lived in are intermingled to his passionate and Mediterranean temperament, that coexist with a neat and smart style. In Paris he began to take photos for PIX, a France image bank, later taken over by gettyimages.com. He collaborated with SLOW FOOD FRANCE making a series of Paris bistrot owners portraits, together with the journalist Roger Feuilly, subsequently published on Paris Capitale and Wine&Spirits Magazine. Since 1998 he has been living in Naples, collaborating as photographer of portraits, advertising and fashion for several Italian and international advertising agencies. Since 2002 he has been working with Don inc. in Miami for American productions and he is represented by Fletcher’s Management in London.
